Radisson Blu Bucharest Oktoberfest & Sunday Brunch

Oktoberfest is a 16- to 18-day festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and the world’s largest fair, with some six million people attending every year. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event.

The Munich Oktoberfest, traditionally, takes place during the sixteen days up to and including the first Sunday in October.

Visitors eat huge amounts of traditional hearty fare such as Hendl (chicken), Schweinsbraten (roast pork), Schweinshaxe (ham hock), Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), Würstl (sausages) along with Brezn (Pretzel), Knödel (potato or bread dumplings), Kasspatzn (cheese noodles), Reiberdatschi (potato pancakes), Sauerkraut or Blaukraut (red cabbage) along with such Bavarian delicacies as Obatzda (a spiced cheese-butter spread) and Weisswurst (a white sausage). – Source Wikipedia

With a few twists on this tradition, the World now joins in the fun for Oktoberfest! Here we are in Bucharest, Romania and the fun never ends, as this years’ Oktoberfest event went off without a hitch at the Radisson Blu hotel.

What do the words good food, good fun, good music, good beer, and good service all have in common?  They were all words that could describe this Oktoberfest party friday night on the 24th of September.  One may question the authenticity of Oktoberfest in Romania, but is was unquestionably a great use of the Radisson Blu’s terrace. The atmosphere was great and full of fun and festivities as you can see from some of the pictures from the event.  In fact, because the night was that great we definitely feel compelled to visit the new and upcoming Sunday Brunch.  We hope to see you all at this upcoming Sunday Brunch at the Radisson Blu (yes the one on Calea Victorie). This Sunday brunch should without a doubt “wow” the crowd so don’t miss it. It is Sunday, October 3rd at the Radisson… we’ll keep you posted!
